How to create a STOP button for all?
This might be a stupid question but if I have a move effect on my heads, a color effect going and beam effect going - how can I create a preset that will stop everything? Much like the BEAM effect preset that comes with 2.0?
Re: How to create a STOP button for all?
the SPEED button has a selectable "Preference" called FREEZE ...

Maybe your question isn't being fully understood? I don't quite 100% get what you mean, could you provide another example? And which Beam effect i 2.0 are you referring to that stops things?
Also, why does it have to be a preset that does the stopping?
I ask these questions because I think I may asked this same question a few days ago: viewtopic.php?t=1145 -- My hope was to be able to have a preset going, with flowing effects, fading colors, etc.... Like a typical preset.... But then with another preset, make it so that the loops come to a stop at the end of their animations. So a twinkle effect going a full 150bpm, then you activate the "stop" preset, then that twinkle effect for example would gradually slow down until it stops and doesn't do anything else until you change presets again.
I can see this being exceptionally useful for a part right before the drop or chorus. The buildup is accumulating, then the animations fade into a stop over like 0.5s or 1s. Then BOOM, you trigger the drop or chorus preset. If that isn't what you mean, then my bad lol. I think I understand you but maybe not?

Swangletang and Wolfman
I created two preset buttons and named them KILL MOVES and KILL BEAMS. Since we can now have FX parameters saved separately in 2.0 (yes, of course it's still in beta) I wanted the option to stop either one. It's kinda crazy easy. Create a preset, name it whatever, deselect all the FX parameters or just Move, or just Beam, etc. add a fade out time if you want. I put 1 sec on my kill beam FX. Save it and that's it. I just shot a few quick videos on it attached below. Hope that helps
And Wolfman, you can put a fade time in that preset to fade out your twinkle
EDIT - well I thought I could attach some videos. Let me post them on my Youtube and share the link here

Hi Barry,
Very Nice setup!
Works great till you start using lights with gobos cause when you than activate your move or beam it changes the gobo of your moving light to what’s saved in that move or beam preset. That is holding me so much back since I wanne work exactly the way you work here which is great!
Great setup!

Ah got it Barry! Thanks for the comment & example/tutorial videos. I'll see if I can incorporate that into my project.
