Re: Multiple USB midi devices update?
Got the DoreMidi device and it works perfectly with my AKAI mini mk2s, I have 2 of them. No issues mapping or anything, just plug and play. Thank you will and team!
I want to add an additional Novation Launchpad however, when I just plug it in, the button the launchpad go crazy and I'm unable to assign any mappings to it. Does anyone know if I need to do anything in Ableton to set this up? I did register the device but that's it. I'd really like to avoid Ableton if that's possible with the Launchpad.

That’s my set up now, allowing me 128 presets at my fingertips. I’m not a DJ, I run lights for a jamband so having all the presets available is incredibly useful. Only using the device for live edits and effects. I’d like to get 1 more midi pad so I can have (almost) all presets on buttons.

I'm about to do the same MIDI setup. I'm guessing the second set of APC faders won't control any other functions other than Groups? I have one APC mini programmed with colors and moves. LOVE THE STACKING!! Doing the same live band thing. If other faders don't add any additional functionality, I'm going to go with the Novation that has only buttons
Thanks

Re: Multiple USB midi devices update?
Had my first gig with multiple midi players connected, was going great but during setbreak it stopped working. I unplugged and plugged back in all the wires and even changed a few wires out and it just wouldn’t work the miraculously started to right when the band started.
Any idea what happened? I have no idea how to troubleshoot this. Can’t tell if it’s the doremidi device or wires or the wolfmix or what? Any ideas on how to troubleshoot? It ended up working fine the rest of the show but was extremely nerve wrecking when it went out.

Wow! I don't think I would chance using that setup on a live show until you figure it out - or at least have a backup plan. I'm not sure what could be going on. I've been having the APC Mini mk2 plugged into the WMX for a while now and it's solid. Once in a while I'll get more than one pad lit up if I punch too fast, but it's just the light, not more than one actual function.BarryV wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 8:53 am Any idea what happened? I was following this post and finally decided to order the DoreMidi stream controller. I didn't think it was possible to combine more than one USB midi device on the WMX. I'm thrilled to see it. I'm in a similar situation, doing bands not DJ, and I want to setup alot of looks that I can punch to and then add move or beam fx. I haven't decided if I'm getting another APC mini or a Novation mini with just pads. Soon as I test my APC with the DoreMidi, I'll post results.

Yeah, the good thing is these aren't paid gigs or anything. Just my friends local band.
I have no idea what happened, when I get back to the studio this week I'm going to mess around with it some more.

Did you ever figure out what was happening with your DoreMidi Controller? I ordered one but it hasn't come in yet. Looking forward to setting it up with my APC mini and a Novation miniswangletang wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 7:46 pm Yeah, the good thing is these aren't paid gigs or anything. We have managed to use multiple MIDI devices simultaneously using this exact MIDI hub device: www.doremidi.cn/h-pd-92.html.
It has 4 ports for USB-MIDI devices, as well as 6 MIDI-DIN inputs, allowing for up to 10 devices to be controlled through this one hub.
Here is an extract from our FW developer, who was testing this setup whilst working on the 2.x FW:
"I’ve recently been playing with this device, which allows for 4 USB MIDI devices and 6 MIDI DINs to be connected to the Wolfmix. FW 2.0 will be required to get full use out of it as it exposes itself as 10 MIDI ports which I realised wasn't working perfectly in the current FW, but I’ve been having fun playing with a MIDI clock device, a synth, and two APC MINIs simultaneously. I’ll make a video once the FW is available."
Would you be able to share a cheat sheet or some quick setup notes on the Doremidi MSC-10? I've had my APC mini working really well (using 2.0.4). I picked up the MSC-10 and plan to add a Novation Launchpad mini. So far, I cabled the MSC-10 to the WMX (without making any connections yet in the Midi Stream Config app). I cabled the APC to USB Host 1 on the MSC-10 and I get nothing. Do you need to make a connection from something like USB Hosts 1 and 2 to MIDI Out 1?
My email is [email protected] if it's easier to communicate directly.
Thanks
Barry
