Can't see full fixture names on Wolfmix

Post by DJLiquid50 »

Hi all,

When adding fixtures via the Wolfmix It's hard to distinguish between fixtures that have similar names.

The wolfmix cuts off the name after only a few characters and doesn't scroll or do anything to help me be sure I am adding the correct fixture. Interestingly the wolmix screen has plenty of space to display the whole name but it just doesn't

Any one else frustrated by this?

Does anyone have a work around to make this easier? Of course I could delete fixtures from being an option but I do have several lights that have similar names such as

Intimidator Spot xx....

Hello,

The reason for this is that the Wolfmix has a very limited amount of memory, and though it might not seem like much, every character of every fixture name can really add up to a lot of memory! Usually, the best way around this is to rename the fixture- either within the Wolfmix itself, or using a duplicated file on the online Profile Builder.

In the Wolfmix Fixture Library, you can scroll to the desired fixture, press the Edit Fixture button, choose the mode you like to use, then press the Rename button and set the name to whatever you like. Once saved, this fixture will now appear in the Wolfmix brand.

Alternatively, you can go to profile.nicolaudiegroup.com, search for the Official profile, then open it an duplicate the profile. You are then free to edit the name however you like, and can add the new profile to your Wolfmix through WTOOLS. Profiles edited online will be found within the Cloud brand both in WTOOLS, and also when in the Wolfmix Fixture Library.

Kind regards,
Will

Thanks Will,

It takes a little extra work but will do the trick.
