Save Live Edit Macro states in Project

Post by franton »

I recently got some LED pixel tubes, with DMX profiles that have a dimmer channel per-pixel instead of a main dimmer for the whole fixture. At first I was worried if the Wolfmix would be able to use the dimmer channels to adjust the brightness of the tubes, but the Dimmer Live Edit Macro works perfectly in this scenario, and is way better than manually creating a bunch of Live Edits for different brightness levels!

I'm fairly certain that the Live Edit button states are saved in the project. For example, if I create and enable a Live Edit button that locks the dimmer channels to 50%, then restarting the Wolfmix or saving and loading the project maintains the 50% Live Edit button as enabled. However, it appears that Live Edit Macro states are not saved. For example, if I create a Live Edit Macro that sets the Dimmer to 50%, then restarting the Wolfmix or saving and loading the project resets the Dimmer Live Edit Macro to inactive, 0%.

Would it be possible to make Live Edit Macro states saved the same way Live Edit buttons are saved, across restarts and in project save files? I am on latest firmware 1.2.4.

It also seems like the dimmer Live Edit Macro is overridden when using the Blinder button, for example if I set the dimmer Macro to 50%, the Blinder button still bring the fixture to full output. Since Live Edits are after the Blinder in the Beam Engine Control Flow, I would expect the Live Edit Macro to take priority.

In contrast, a Live Edit button that sets the dimmer channel works as expected when using the Blinder button. For example, with a Live Edit button that sets the dimmer channel to 50%, the Blinder button brings the fixture to 50% output as expected.
