Blizzard - Snowblind

Fixture not working as it should? Post it here and we'll check it out. Be precise with the fixture name as there are many with similar names.

Blizzard - Snowblind

Post by Squeegee »

Hey There! The profile for the Blizzard Snowblind fixture doesn't seem to work properly, I can't get the fixture to respond at all when using it. I've tried creating my own profile with limited success (I'm a motivated novice, but no expert).

Fixture is 3 channels, info below. Help is greatly appreciated!!

DMX Quick Reference (3-Channel Modes)

1 Dimmer (Low <--> High)
2 Flash Speed (Slow <--> Fast)
3 Microphone Sensitivity Adjustment (Low <--> High)

Thank you!

You need to change some channels to work.
DIMMER normally is always ON, so you are not able to switch it OFF - the light will always BLIND.
You either replace Dimmer with a "COLOR"-Dimmer instead (i.e. WHITE), or you replace Ch1 (Dimmer) with another Shutter&Strobe channel to automatically go ON, when pressing the Strobe button.
Take a look at the attached profile ....

Thanks, axell! I got the WMX profile kinda working, but yes, the blinder is always on. I've taken to blacking it out and then have a few live edits saved which turn it on and strobe at the same time. Oddly the blinder button doesn't respect the blackout but the strobe button does, i guess because the blinder button sends an on/off dimmer signal , and the strobe button assumes the fixture is already "on".

I'll try your profile.

thanks again!
