Preset & Live Edit Question

Post by mitchino »

Is it possible to add a live edit for a fixture to a preset, so it becomes part of that preset? I want to create different looks for a laser I'm programming, and add them to various presets I've already created.

Yes you can do that. Simply activate your Live Edit, then do the rest of your scene, now store "all" (Effects + Live Edit setting) in your Preset. You can also add Live Edit later to an existing Preset by first select your Preset, next activate you Live Edit to it and finally store both in the Preset by holding SHIFT button and select your PRESET again (its flashing) and press one more time (stored).

This doesn't work for me, I choose a preset, then press live edit and choose a live edit, then press preset again, then press shift and preset, the preset flashes, then I press preset again. The live edit does not get stored as part of the preset.

Correction - it does work - I'd broken the dmx chain by accident.

Thanks so much for this info!
