External DMX Faders, Force Control

Post by Beatsmith8 »

Hi all,

I've read the manual and searched this site and am having an issue I can't solve. I have an external DMX fader that works to dim the group channels 1-8 and master dimmer 9. But each time a change a preset, the programmed dimming values come back. For several groups (par cans on musicians) I would like the fader to remain the control point for the dimming regardless of preset (some venues require less light than others). I recognize you can force a fader to control a single DMX channel, but is there a way to set the faders to control the group dimmers without being overridden by presets? TIA!

Simple. On Wolfmix go to: HOME / SETUP / SETTINGS - now dial down to "Store Group dimmers in Presets" and set this to "NO" (Now Dimmer values will not be overwritten with Preset values).
