New update coming in February?

I just updated WTOOLS to v1.5.5. I received an email today about the Biggest Wolfmix Update Yet – Don’t Miss It at ISE 2025 Feb.4 to the 7th.
When will this be available to download and what's the buzz about? what can this do? I own two WMX1's, how will this update affect their performance?
If anyone can "shed some light" on this, I would love to here from you. Thanks, Brian

And what do they mean with "double"? Like "double colour" ? Meaning it will have more color effects to choose from?

Hello! With firmware 2.0 the FX engines are doubled. This means you get two separate color, move and beam FX options to apply to your fixture groups. For example you could have COLOR FX1 as a chaser effect and COLOR FX2 as a rainbow effect, which you can then apply individually to groups (i.e Group A is color FX1, group B is color FX2 etc...). The additional FX engine will be accessed by holding SHIFT.

Lime channel is really, really appreciated.
Multiple FX engines is really, really cool. Thank you!
Absolutely no mention of a full MIDI implementation despite it being the most heavily requested feature
I would love to see a better Ableton Link implementation and then it would be a great update.

If they had listened to us a year ago and implemented full MIDI on the mk2, rather than engaged in shady marketing practices about the true extent of what is possible, then there wouldn't be this animosity in the community.
You reap what you sow, I'm afraid.

Unfortunately it is not so simple to just implement full MIDI and all of the features people have requested. We have re-written the firmware completely with 2.0 to maximise efficiency, so we can have more resources available for additional features. This of course takes a lot of time and development resources. We are planning more updates in the future too, so we always welcome feature requests. It's not that we haven't been listening, it's that we're a small team and stuff like this takes time to develop and test unfortunately!
Regarding the marketing - as explained before, we've always been transparent about what the Wolfmix was capable of and what extent MIDI control was implemented, we've never misled anyone on what features are included. Now we have implemented the MIDI flash effects as highly requested, so we hope you can enjoy the new update when it drops!
