Wolfmix

I have a ticket with support for this issue, but thought I'd ask here too. I'm a brand new wolfmix user, and I'm getting to grips with it, slowly...

I have 7 x Martin Mania SCX600 Scanners that I want to program. I'm using a profile from the Wolfmix online database. I'm finding that the units sync up ok in every aspect except their colour wheels. So mirror position, gobo selection and rotation speed, shutter and strobe and dimming all work in unison, but the colours are out of whack. If I choose red, some units go red, others display white or blue or green etc.

I'm trying various configurations, dmx settings, resetting the units etc, but can't get the colours to sync.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to help with fault finding. I'm a DMX beginner so be gentle!

It may be that some of the individual units have a fault, but the problem seems more random than that.

If all else fails, is it possible to use the wolf mix to remap the colour wheels on the affected units? Or could I physically move the colour filters from one slot to another on the actual wheels?

Quick troubleshooting check: are the gobo wheels initializing correctly? I have the smaller SCX500 and have found that sometimes the little calibration magnet gets lost on the gobo wheel so it doesn't initialize to the correct spot when the unit is powering on.

Easy way to isolate this is to remove the wolfmix controller entirely and put the lights in standalone/built-in program mode. Daisy chain the units together, then select a preset program on the first unit. If all the units are doing the same thing at the same time, the problem is something with the way wolfmix is set up. But if the colors are wrong while in standalone mode, the problem is your gobo wheel calibration. Either the little magnet fell off or the sensor went bad.
