using 1.2.2.

When playing presets, the HOLD time ist ignored. There is just the SYNC Option there. How to change to the HOLD option?

I'd like to play some presets for a longer and some for a shorter time. I set the HOLD time in each preset but each preset "runs" aprox. 1 second only.

Hold and Fade setting is now in EACH Preset (together with the "Sync" option). Hold SHIFT and select a Preset, entering Preset Edit. Here you can make your adjustments and also change the color of the Preset button.
The "SYNC" button in the general Preset page is to overwrite all (individual) Presets settings with a general "Sync" setting.

How do they work exactly?

HOLD & FADE times are being set, when you want to (auto-) PLAY Presets one after another by ROW or by COLUMN, by PAGE or ALL, according to the setting of the PAUSE/PLAY encoder in the Preset page.

you give HOLD and FADE each a time -
HOLD is how long the Preset will be "active / holded" (HOLD) before it "switches" or FADEs to the next Preset, where FADE time is the time "morphing" from one Preset to the next.
A FADE time of 00:00:00 will be an immediate jump/switch to the next Preset - AFTER the HOLD time is over.

Example:
You want to "run" 4 Presets in a ROW. You open every Preset into edit mode and set the HOLD time for each Preset (1. Preset: 5 sec / 2. Preset: 8 sec / 3. Preset: 2 sec / 4. Preset: 5 sec). Then dial PAUSE/PLAY button to ROW and push to PLAY: Now the Presets will run one after the other, where the 1. Preset will run 5 sec, then it switches to the 2. preset which will run 8 sec, then switches to the 3. Preset which stays for 2 sec and finally switches to the 4. Preset which will run 5 sec. After that it will return to the left side of the ROW and start all over again.
If you add a FADE time to the Presets, they will not "jump" from one Preset to the next, but smoothly FADE into the next Preset, according to your FADE time setting.

I played around with HOLD and FADE and saw this:

HOLD 20 Seconds (twenty)
FADE 10 Seconds (ten)

Presets are running 30!! Seconds (The time counter runs up to 30 seconds)
Fade time ist still 10 seconds (there is an increasing line on the top of the displays)

Someone adds these times together.

How to run ALL Presets at ALL 5 pages in Random Mode?

Random mode is Random per page
ALL mode is all Presets (in all pages) sequentially.
