I bought a Wolfmix W1 mkII, already activated with all 4 universes. Now I want to buy the 3D Link add on, but the WTOOLS give a popup message that only the account who activated the controller allowed to do the purchase. What should I do, since I cannot contact the one who activated the controller?

Thanks for raising this thread! The best idea would be to factory reset/deregister the controller, so that you can register it to your account.

The first step is to create a backup of any project(s) you have on your controller. Go to Settings > Save, then save the open project file. The open WTOOLS > Projects, and press 'Backup'. You will also need to do this for any custom fixtures you have created, if relevant.

Next, go to WTOOLS > Settings > I'm selling my controller!. This will fully reset the controller, so that it can be registered to your Cloud account- as a new controller would be.

Would the bought universes then still be assigned to the controller or do they have to be bought again?

Resetting a controller will never remove license add-ons. These are unlocked within the controller, and will remain so unless manually removed by one of the tech support team (which we of course do not go around doing randomly ).
