Hello everyone, I have a question and I hope someone can guide me. I have four sparkling machines, and I’d like to create an effect with them. Is it possible to create a sequence that triggers sparkling machine #1 for one second, then turns off, then triggers sparkling machine #2, and so on consecutively for all four? If this is possible please someone can send me the steps to follow to create this.
Thanks in advance for your help!
WMX1 Sequence Help
Re: WMX1 Sequence Help
Hello,
Thanks for raising this thread! I would first mention that using these types of fixtures with DMX needs a great level of care and caution. We generally do not recommend using these fixtures with your lighting controller at the same time, as it's far more secure to have these running with their own controller.
If you absolutely do need to use the Wolfmix to run these fixture types, it is possible with some work (providing that you only need 1 channel to activate the sparks). See the steps below:
- Go to Settings > DMX Values > Settings (Beam Editor)
- Select your fixture
- Scroll to the 'Effect' feature
- Press in the 2nd encoder and set the channel to the required channel to activate the sparks
- Set the DMX Min and Off value to 0
- Set the DMX Max and On value to the desired value for activating the sparks
- Go to the Beam FX engine
- Press in the 3rd encoder and choose the 'Effect' feature
- Choose the desired FX settings
- Activate the Beam FX on the Group containing your spark fixtures
Kind regards,
Will
