About ten of us asked for global parameters to be controlled by MIDI about two years ago.willm wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 2:56 pmHi Lee,leesinthemix wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 10:33 pm What was the point of spending development time implementing this Will, when half of the Wolfmix features can't be controlled by MIDI?
Who needs FOUR midi controllers to be able to launch a few presets? Baffling,
Surely it would have been a much better use of your team's time to give us full control of MIDI?
I honestly don't know what to say at this stage. The priorities of this company is just beyond comprehension sometimes.
We had to change one line of code to implement this.
This thread is specifically asking for use with multiple MIDI controllers- hence why I have posted this reply.
Multiple MIDI controllers is already useful for people in bands who need to control lights hands free (i.e. using MIDI foot pedals).
However, for your particular interest this- will be more useful in the 2.0 update, where the Preset workflow is completely reimagined. You can choose which component(s) to store within a Preset (Colour, Position, and/or Beam). If you store none of these, it will essentially store only Dimmers, Gobos and Live Edits. All presets can be mapped to MIDI and there is now 200 Presets in a project. So...
You could, if you wanted to, have 4x APC Minis with one entirely dedicated to Colour presets, one for Position/Move presets, one for Beam FX presets, and one for Live Edits/Gobos.
I believe most of your MIDI requests will actually be answered in this next update, perhaps not in the exact way you might imagine- but solutions nonetheless.
That's a few lines of code.
