I'd like to request a feature that combines 'Catch Mode' with 'Parameter Smoothing' for MIDI control changes when switching presets. Currently, when I switch presets, the MIDI control parameters instantly jump to the new preset's values, regardless of the physical positions of my MIDI fader.
I need a 'Catch Mode' where, upon loading a new preset, the software waits for the physical position of a MIDI controller to match the parameter value stored in the new preset before that parameter becomes active and affects the lights. This would prevent abrupt parameter jumps when the physical controller isn't at the same position as the stored value in the new preset.
Once a physical controller reaches the value of the new preset (as per the 'Catch Mode'), I don't want the parameter to suddenly snap to that value. Instead, I'd like the software to implement parameter smoothing or control change smoothing. This means that after the 'catch,' the parameter value should gradually transition from its current position to the new preset's value over a short, configurable time. This smooth transition would avoid any sudden jumps and provide a much more seamless change between presets.
This combined 'Catch Mode with Smoothing' would significantly improve the smoothness and predictability of preset changes during live performance.
I know this is asking a lot... so any information on this issue would greatly help our clients who are using Wolfmix with MIDI!
Cheers,
Micah @ VIVID

Isn’t what you mean in the settings? It’s for dimmers that’s for sure but maybe that’s not exactly what you mean?

What is the setting you are talking about? Depending on the position of my MIDI dimmers, I am having an issue with jumping brightness values when changing presets. Curious if there is a solution; kind of like how CDJ tempo faders have a 'Catch Mode' and wait for the fader to reach the new tempo value (brightness value in this case).

Yeah think we mean the same it’s in the setup menu called store dimmer value in preset turn it off.
It’s a good idea to connect a midi fader board like the apc mini to have faders for your group dimmers
