Eliminator Lighting Stealth Beam has Color problems!!

Post by Brian »

The Eliminator Lighting Stealth Beam is a 60 Watt RGBW Led. I am working with it in Visualizer as I await their delivery. They will do all the moves successfully, but they will only show RED and no other colors? Any suggestions? Is it a profile problem? I don't know.

Maybe are the greens and blue on 0 in the fixture menu? Some fixtures have the option to choose the max setting for each RGB. Had this problem once!

I turned all the Red Green and Blue up to 100% and then had to dial up the colours and store them as live edits. These fixtures will not respond to the regular colour buttons. So basically, I kinda did what you said. Thanks. I don't know why. It's got to be the profile. all of my other fixtures respond to the normal colour buttons. I'm learning so much. maybe I'll try to make a new profile and see what happens. I'll be jumping in with both feet on this. I better suit up!

EasyView Visualizer is NOT EQUAL to WOLFMIX!
You work on 2 instances, with 2 (different?) sources and 2 different infrastructures.
Wolfmix is ONLY feeding DMX values (according to its own Wolfmix profile) into the Software which will THEN being "shown" as a result as a "virtual Fixture" (according to the EasyView profiles!)
So you work with 2 (eventually different) profiles and "program codes". What you see on ONE side (of a virtual fixture on a screen) must not be exactly the same on the OTHER side (when attaching REAL fixtures to the Wolfmix)!

For REAL LIFE verification of the function, you want to consult the profile Builder (editor) of Wolfmix and verify the correct settings of channels and presets according to the manual.

The "Magic" of Wolfmix (whether its working or not ...) lies in the PROFILES

I checked the profile of the Eliminator Stealth Beam and found that BOTH COLOR SOURCES of the fixture - the RGBW channels AND the Color Wheel as well - are activated at the same time. Without logical separation, this is an invalid DMX configuration, because when pressing a Color (Red), WHICH source do want to have active? RGBW Red channel or the Color Wheel with the RED Preset? Having both active, they will block against each other.
So you have to "invalidate" the Color Wheel on Channel 9 (make it a different Channel TYPE , i.e. OTHER) so you work with RGBW channels. Or the opposite way, if you prefer to use the Color Wheel over RGBW.
(you may want to use the Profile Builder at cloud.nicolaudiegroup.com to edit the channels)

My Stealth Beams arrive Monday and I will hook them up and checkout the profile and try to make those changes. It will be nice to see how the fixture responds in real time. Thanks There is so much to learn, but it's great to have such expert help on these forums. Thanks

Hello,

As Axell correctly pointed out- there is an issue with this profile with it using both RGBW channels AND a Colour Wheel. This actually is a mistake on the profile side, as it should not be possible to have both- instead, the Colour Wheel channel SHOULD be a Macro channel.

I have just made some adjustments to the profile, so you can update both the Wolfmix profile and the EasyView profile via the steps below:

Update the Wolfmix profile:
- Connect your Wolfmix to your computer.
- Open WTOOLS and go to the Fixtures tab in WTOOLS.
- Search for the desired fixture within the ‘Computer’ list.
- Right click on the fixture and select ‘Sync’ then ‘Confirm’.
- Delete the original profile from your Wolfmix project and then re-patch the fixture into your project, to ensure you are using the latest version.

Update the EasyView profile:
- Download the attached .ssl2 file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x5Gu_H ... sp=sharing
- Open your computer's file directory
- Find the EasyViewConnect folder, then open the ScanLibrary folder
- Find the desired brand folder, then open it
- Drag & drop the attached .ssl2 file into the brand folder
- Restart EasyView
- Delete and re-patch in the fixture profile to your EasyView project

Kind regards,
Will

I will try everything you said. I now have my E. L. Stealth Beam and it has a sideways orientation just like the ColorKey Mover Beam 100. I thought maybe my WMX1 was faulty so I hooked up an ADJ Pocket Pro. The pocket pro has the right orientation and executes perfectly, the Stealth Beam is sideways. What's going on?
Tried to add a photo but told too large.

Hi Brian,

This is likely due to the fact that the two fixtures have different maximum movement angles (i.e. if your Stealth Beam has an extra 90 degrees of movement than your Pocket Pro- they will be 90 degrees out of phase with each other if you are using the exact same movement on both). This can be sorted by setting a movement limitation on your fixture, see the following Mini-Guide for more information on that: https://wolfmix.com/support-content#lim ... _head_area

Kind regards,
Will
