Fixture calibration

Post by mineral »

Hello,

I am considering getting a WMX1 for a local club here. It would more than satisfy the needs. (atm we use an ipad and luminair pro)

Although, we have a bit of a broken moving head. Which works fine, but it's reference point is not there it should be, so zero tilt and zero pan is the same on the other 3 moving heads, but the 4th one is tilted a notch or two.

Is it possible to set an offset to the single fixture to get it in line with the others?

At the moment we have adjusted a movement to match the other heads, but if we get the WMX1 we might need to replace the moving head as well, if there is no option for our scenario.

Many thanks!

Answering your question: No. (Wolfmix is working "by Groups" - so it is "all or nothing)

replacing the Head is probably the best (and most efficient) fix!

"Sometimes!!" you can "manually" set the Head with a little force to "flip over" a few teeth of the gear wheel for proper adjustment. Do not apply too much force or it will break the gear wheel inside.

As Wolfmix operates in Groups, you can eventually assign the "Off Head" to his own exclusive Group, then you can set the Fixture Limits to just this Head in his Group accordingly and when it comes to MoveFX you have to select "both" Groups (same with static Color + ColorFX).

I think you can correct that in the individual fixture menu using the feature where you restrict movements.
