recalling xlite preset patterns

Please could anyone explain (in simple terms) why the gobo setting in live edit will alter the inbuilt patterns on abstract xlites as I change the dmx value but when I set the values in the profile although the gobos are on the home page they will not recall the patterns. My old controller just sent a dmx value not caring what was receiving it.

I believe this is because with a Live Edit you are sending values to the channel directly to alter the 'patterns' channel. The GOBO button however scans the profile specifically for a GOBO channel preset which it then derives the corresponding values. Because this fixture does not have a GOBO channel the GOBO button will not recognise the patterns as such.

What is the name of this fixture specifically as it is written on Wolfmix?

Thanks for the reply Alex, it`s listed as x-lite duplicate, abstract call it the duplicator 4, I`m thinking I`ll get different sticks that will pixel map as Wolfmix runs everything else perfectly.
