EasyView creating Fixture for Spider

Post by battihu »

Did somebody successfully created a fixture for 2x4 Spider fixture?
I tried a lot but partly successed.
Checked all the cloud profiles, then build up from zero,.
The moving parts not working well.
This Picture has 2 axes moving, 2 channels for this 2 motors.....
Even 2 Tilt or 2 Pan channel config runs only 1 motor.
In visualiser unable to patch both at the same time.
38 channel mode I use.
In wolfmix controller is easy to create a fixture for than, works fine.
Wanted to use EasyView.
Any help would be great.
Ch1 motor1
Ch2 motor2
ch3 dim
ch4 strobe
ch5.Led1-red
ch6Led1-green
ch7.Led1 blue
ch8Led1.White

and so on...until ch 36
ch37 effect
ch38 effect speed

Good news....
After long try outs I managed to implement in Easyview this fixture.
Was not an easy job, tricky but succeeded.
The tricky 2 axis movement also works, as the beams in order too.
Next will be a Chauvet Gigbar2....

Looks good! I'm using a few fixtures in Wolfmix which aren't available in EasyView. I have asked on the Wolfmix Facebook page who could help me pointing to a manual or whatever to help me make fixtures for using in EasyView.
Can you tell me which program or what you used to create the EasyView fixture?

Hi!
It was tricky to build this type of fixture....practically created 2 fixture each for one side then spliced up the beams 4by4.
I used the https://profile.nicolaudiegroup.com where you can register and create from zero your profile, which can be used also wolf mix too...but I found better for the wolf mix controller creating with the W1 the fixture.
Only for Easyview I used the nicolaudie website.
Process raffle:
- take your fixture DMX manual, channels, function etc.
- start create new fixture, or search similar from the search menu, public then make copy, then change according the manual if need.
The fixture types are limited, for special lamps need tricks, but mostly can be used for simulation these too.
if ready, then download it (upper cloud symbol).
then the downloaded paste to the easyview/scan library/Generic folder
After you can add from the Easyview from this generic folder the fixture.
I also connected the W1 and the real fixture to control if works same as real fixture.
If any problems, just try different settings.

After investing time you can understand how it works, but is really strong limited for PAR, moving heads type of fixtures.
As example ADJ stardust is impossible (or I nor found it os need lot more time to build.

I hope this helps

Hi battihu! Im interested how to make the same fixture.
I can, and I did it, create 1 fixture complete... but I dont understand how do you play 2 of them in one fixture...

this is your quote: "....practically created 2 fixture each for one side then spliced up the beams 4by4."

Thanks a lot!

Sorry for late reply,
Meantime I was busy with other things...

I meant you create one fixture , then double it, then split up the beams, then grip these 2 as one...then you can copy this groups for the rest.
I hope you understand more clear now.
