as many light enthusiasts own fixtures with multiple beams, I wish the way to split these would be a bit more easy. Simon, you explained what is required to make a fixture split. It needs the DMX Types in strict sequential (Beam) order. For some Fixtures it is easy as they have also control for each of the beam (DIM,R,G,B,STROBE) But others do have common control for i.e Dimmer or Strobe and such. The workaround for Dimmer is clear (you told us to use just Beam 1 when at the beginning of the chain or Beam X (last) when at the end) as it is controlled only by RGB. But what about other control DMX Types? For Strobe then only the first Beam or last Beam would strobe, right? So if we could improve that no matter if there is a „block“ of control for all beams at the beginning or at the end of the DMX channel chart, the split capability (in the middle) will still be possible to split the individual beams and the control for all does exactly that - control all beams with Strobe etc.
