MIDI Sync In?

Post by leesinthemix »

Hey!

Is it likely that the W1 might support MIDI sync in, in the near future?
Of course this would probably mean the use of a laptop with the W1.

Hi Simon,

any update on MIDI in the meantime?

As I understand, Ableton Link has been implemented, but is rather useless, since the implemantaions Traktor Pro, Serato DJ Pro and others use an Ableton Master that is controlling the speed of the songs and not - as we mobile DJs would need that - the other way around: the song in the deck controls the tempo of the Ableton link.

In Daslight the tempo sync via software MIDI works nicely - would be helfful if that would find it's way in the Wolfmix as well.

You can have Traktors master sync with your track deck, so when you change the track deck, the master updates. It's not so clear at first in Traktor, but it works well for me. See my reply to your other post for further info.

Hi Simon, can you please explain further how this is possible for you?

When LINK is enabled on mine or anyone else's laptop I know, the tempo faders on track decks are greyed out and cannot be amended.
