Spider rgbw 13 & 43 chanels

Fixture not working as it should? Post it here and we'll check it out. Be precise with the fixture name as there are many with similar names.

Spider rgbw 13 & 43 chanels

Post by Dj Mell 26 »

Hello,

I just bought a pair of Spider Led RGBW, and I can't get the 2 Y movements to work (the lights have 2 Y axes each), only one axis will work on both of the lights, to work around part of the problem i created a pan and a tilt ey not 2 Pan or 2 tilt except when i enable Move Fx mode i am limited the 2 lights still perform the same jaw style movement effects which open and close, nothing more and that even by modifying the Phase!

I can't make the 2 axes or the 4 work in the same direction (it's not easy to explain this), I have however found fixtures, but I haven't found the one that would best correspond to my lights.

Thank you in advance for your return.

N.B: I have to carry out tests quickly because the return time of the Spiders is 10 days max (if they do not suit me (light power) You will find the 2 DMX modes attached, either 13 or 43 channels

You probably need to create 2 individual profiles for each of the 2 Channel Modes (43 Ch Mode & 13 Ch Mode).

You need to configure "multi beam" profiles when the Fixtures has more than ONE of the same DMX Type (like 2x Tilt Channels) built in, so Wolfmix can clearly differentiate between them and assign a certain "beam" (group) to send the DMX value to. For Colors (multiple sets of RGB channels) it splits the RGB sets as "individual" micro-fixtures, so they are not all showing the same color.

So for 43Ch Mode you may need a 12 beam profile and split 'em
beam 1 = Ch 1+2 (Y1). group A
beam 2 = Ch 3+4 (Y2). group B
beam 3 = Ch 5+6 (Speed+Dimmer) beam 3-7 = group A
beam 4 = Ch 7+8+9+10 (RGBW 1)
beam 5 = Ch 11+12+13+14 (RGBW 2)
beam 6 = Ch 15+16+17+18 (RGBW 3)
beam 7 = Ch 19+20+21+22 (RGBW 4)
beam 8 = Ch 23+24+25+26 (RGBW 5) beam 8-11 = group B
beam 9 = Ch 27+28+29+30 ((RGBW 6)
beam 10 = Ch 31+32+33+34 (RGBW 7)
beam 11 = Ch 35+36+37+38 (RGBW 8)
beam 12 = Ch 39 - 43 (Strobe, Effect Macro, Auto effect, Speed Ctrl, Reset) beam 12 = group A again

For 13Ch Mode you want to create a 2-beam profile:
beam 1 = Y1
beam 2 = Y2 + Channel 3-13

When patching, confirm to SPLIT and for best results make sure the Y1 beam and the Y2 beam are assigned to separate Groups.
I use a mini Spider FX with 2 Tilt arms and they work great that way.

Attached are the profiles for 13Ch Mode and 43Ch Mode. When patching, you are asked to SPLIT - confirm with YES. Then change the 1st Spider "beam" to another Group (B) and play with MoveFX TILT pattern. (Phase, Size, Fade). You can also select one arm (Group A) to MoveFX and another arm (Group B) to BeamFX and enable "another" Tilt control under Size/Feature encoder, when select FEATURE and dial to "Tilt". Then you can have 2 different speeds on the 2 arms.

If you want full control of Tilt (arms) AND Colors, load the 43Ch Profile, split when asked (YES) and assign all to Group A.
Now re-assign a few beams (sub/linked) fixtures to Group B as in the attached graphic.
Now in Group A you have the 1st arm, a few controls and the RGBW control of LED 1-2-3-4
In Group B you have 2nd arm, and the RGBW control of LED 5-6-7-8
The user panel on Wolfmix shows both Groups (A+B) with Control for Tilt and Colors now. (Group A = arm 1 + Colors / Group B = arm 2 + Colors)

Hello and thank you very much! I will test this!

I am French and I use Google Translate!

I hope that the translation of your indications will be correct in French, because google and certain technical terms are not always well translated.

Thanks again !

just download the 43Ch profile and install.
When asked to SPLIT - confirm YES
Put everything to Group A (first). THEN change (sub) fixture -2 and -8; -9; -10, -11 from Group A to Group B (see pic1)
You will see your control for arm 1 + arm 2 (Group A+B) on Wolfmix (pic2)
